Busted for fishing

I really did make the news tonight. You can read the story and watch the video. Maybe when the people at the park see this they will change their minds about fishing ...

12 fish and the news

Yesterday I caught 12 fish.And a news camera filmed me fishing on the dock.
My dad caught the biggest fish, but I reeled him in.One last cichlid ...It was a crazy day because before we left the dock we were told there is no fishing allowed at Butler Park. We are all very sad to hear that.

Four Fish Monday

Snaking, not Fishing

I went snaking with my dad and some friends Sunday night and I caught my very first snake, an Earth Snake! My dad and his friend each caught Rattlesnakes and my dad's friend also caught a Garter Snake and a Tarantula! Did I mention I also got to shoot a BB Gun for the very first time ever?! It was such a fun night!!A little recap of the night:

It was cloudy and warm. And the sunfish were biting.

Fishing in Fayette

Me and my dad went night fishing in Fayette last night. It was windy and we couldn't take our boat to all the best places on the lake. We didn't want to get blown over out there so we mostly fished one spot. We caught five big cats there.

We fished until midnight and then I was finally ready for bed.Sometimes fish are really bloody.We threw the cast net from the boat dock for about an hour. The cast net is so fun! (I really wish my mom would learn how to use it.)Little fish.

1 at Butler

The fish weren't really biting this afternoon. It was hot and the water was murky. I landed one and my dad landed a couple, including a large cichlid that jumped from his hands to the water before we could get a picture. Here's the fish of the day:

Friday evening at Butler

On Friday evening my whole family went fishing at Butler. At first I didn't want to go. But I changed my mind as soon as we pulled into the parking spot. Good thing. I caught 12 fish. Two of them were cichlids. It seems like the cichlids really start biting at dusk.Another upside down fish!

No fish in LBJ

I went fishing with my dad today at Lake LBJ in Kingsland. We caught ZERO fish. But I really wanted to catch a 38-pound catfish. Maybe next time.Then I took a nap on the long car ride home so I could be ready to earn my swimming certificate! I'm a frog!

A good day at Butler Pond

Lucky day ... I went fishing with BOTH my parents AND I caught 10 sunfish on my hook.
I can take the hook out all by myself ...Goodbye, little fish!We hauled this nasty bottle out of the pond with our cast-net.Look ... an upside down fish ...Check out this big turtle. He's got some crazy looking leeches on his back and belly.
