Fishing The San Diego Bay

Last Wednesday I went fishing in the San Diego Bay with my family. We hired a guide, Barry, who took us out in the bay for 4 hours and lots of fish. The trip was a Father's Day gift for my dad, but I think my sister and I caught more fish than he did.

A lot of the fish in the bay are at the bottom of the water so it takes a lot of patience to let the line out for 40 feet. But it was worth it because I pulled in Barred Sand Bass, Spotted Bay Bass, Pacific Mackerel, Lizardfish, and my sister caught a Sculpin Fish.

I was really hoping to catch a marlin or a shark or something huge, but maybe next time ...Fish on!Mackerel.Barred Sand Bass.Sea Lion!Spotted Bay Bass.Lizardfish have really sharp teeth!

Bass in Fayette

Last night I went fishing with my dad and our friend Charlie. Charlie caught one bass. My dad caught one catfish ... on a sunfish! And I caught 7 BIG BASS!

The bass is so big it looks like a whale!

Skunked at Decker Lake

Me and my dad took the motor boat out to Decker Lake today and as usual there were NO BITES and NO FISH. So sadly, no fish pictures to share ...

Biking and swimming

I checked for fish at the rowing dock when we went for our bike ride this morning. I couldn't reach any of them with my net. (My parents wouldn't let me put my fishing pole in my backpack.)After our ride we spent the day at Barton Springs. I like this picture because it's like I'm running over the water! OH! And I did see one fish in the pool, but the rest were all hiding because it was packed with people today!!

Cats and Bass and Tilapia in Fayette

My sister was having a slumber party last night so me and my dad thought it would be a good chance to get out and go fishing and camping.

Last night we fished until 11. We got rained on a bunch, but we were catching so it was fine with us. We caught bass before dark and then catfish.Enjoying my Payday bar.Catching little ones in my net while my dad loads up our gear.This morning the weather was great. I caught 1 bass and 4 catfish and my dad hauled in 2 tilapias in the cast net.

Pfishing in Pflugerville

My parents took me to check out the fishing in Lake Pflugerville yesterday. It was fun, but kind of a long drive. I caught 5 sunfish and we saw one man haul in a little catfish from the fishing pier. It was a pretty hot morning so after we fished a little we spent the rest of the morning swimming.
