Minnows and a water moccasin

Last week I went to the pond with my friend Reese. We caught so many minnows that we had keep emptying our bucket to make room for more. Then we went to the dog water and had no luck. We saw sunnies, but they were all too quick.Today when I went to the dog water I caught a water moccasin in my net!

Should've gone to Fayette (in the first place)

Last week Me and my dad and Rick left for Somerville before the sun was up. We were getting bites, but no fish. SO me and Rick insisted that my dad take us to Fayette. We wanted fish, not a boat ride. At Fayette we fished for bass and had a really great time!

Fishing with grandparents

On Thursday I went fishing with my dad, my grandpa and Rick. I caught 1 bass. It wasn't the greatest fishing trip. We didn't get a bite from catfish.On Friday I went to Lake Austin with my dad and my grandparents. I caught a gaspergou and I was pretty surprised. I never caught one before. My dad doesn't like catching gaspergous. He thinks they're rotten fish.

Yesterday morning my dad and I braved the cold for a little while on the lake in Fayette. I caught this one big fish before we came home for naps and my baseball game.

Fishing with Weldon

My dad surprised me with a fishing trip to Fayette the day after Easter. He carried me out to the car at 4 in the morning and told me we were going fishing. We went with Rick and a guide who baited all the hooks and took care of everything. Together we caught 39 catfish! Then I had to hurry home to play my baseball game!

My mom said we would only have one hour to fish before swimming lessons today and I said LETS DO IT! I caught 2 sunnies and fished out the cane pole after it went over the edge. I also spotted that big orange koi again today ... oooh he's so sneaky!The lures with the treble hooks are a little tricky to take out, but my mom hardly poked herself this time before we were able to set the little fish free.

Butler Pond with my mom

My mom and I went Butler Pond today and I caught 2 nice looking sunnies.This big koi was swimming all around us ...We used lures on this trip and they work pretty well. It's just tricky to figure out what they're biting on each day.
