Gone fishing
My mom took me fishing for an hour this morning before it got too hot. I caught a few fish. All on frozen corn and a bent hook. I fished until my hook finally broke off and my mom said it was time to go.

Fishing in the Gulf
The week before school started we went to visit my Baba who lives very close to the ocean. He hired a guide who took us out and put us on the fish. I really, really wanted to catch a flounder like everyone else, but maybe next time. I did catch some redfish, a Spanish mackerel and some bass.
Redfish: They aren't really red.

Spanish mackerel, my coolest fish.

A good day at Butler Pond
My mom took me to Butler Pond today and in one hour I used up 24 dillies and caught 23 fish. Mostly cichlids and a couple of sunnies. It felt good to be catching after last week ... me and my dad took the boat to Fayette in the heat and got skunked. My mom said, "Should've gone to Butler." Usually if we go to other lakes and catch nothing my friend Rick says, "Should've gone to Fayette."

Colorado, Wyoming, Montana
I took a trip with my family to the mountains in July. I tried fishing in a lot of places, but I really didn't catch much.
In Salida, Colorado I caught a sunny.
In Sheridan, Wyoming where my Uncle Don took me fishing I caught a cutthroat trout and two small mouth bass. Both really exciting for me because they were new fish for me to catch. We ate all of them and they were delicious.

In Montana when we were fossil hunting I caught this cute little frog. We didn't eat him.

The dog water, then Butler Pond
This morning we started fishing at the dog water, but the fish were not biting there. I asked my mom if we could go to Butler instead and she was happy to take me. At Butler we caught so many fish that we lost track! They were biting on fake maggots and chunks of everything bagel so I fished until they were all gone. Lots of sunnies and cichlids.
